The Shepherd’s Wash House Requirements
All we require for The Shepherd’s Wash House is:
A Level Site – For health & safety and operational reasons we need a flat site for The Washhouse.
7m x 3.5m Space – The Washhouse needs an area measuring 7m x 3.5m.
Parking Access – A friendly member of our team will deliver The Washhouse to your event and complete the full set-up ready for your guests. To do this, we will need a clear access route and sufficient space to reverse the trailer in and unhitch the truck
which measures 5.5m.
Electricity Supply (1 x 16 AMP) – To power The Washhouse you will need to provide access to 1 x 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps.
Water Supply (required) – you will need to provide a mains water supply to top up the header tank.
Drain/Soakaway (required) – Along with a water supply we will also need access to a drain or soakaway for the showers.

The Shepherd’s Wash House arrives at your event fully stocked with eco-friendly toilet rolls, handtowels and hand wash. We have a range of optional extras to make you event that extra bit special for your guests.

Frequently Asked Questions
To host The Washhouseat your event, all you will need to provide is a level site measuring 7 metres x 3.5 metres. They can be parked up on a range of surfaces including grass, tarmac, concrete and gravel. As with all our units we will need clear access to the plot and enough space to park. If you are unsure of whether your surface is suitable send us a message and we’ll let you know.
It will be delivered to the location of your event by one of our friendly team at Nomadic Washrooms. They will deliver the unit to the site in a 4×4 vehicle wearing our smart branded uniform. As soon as it is in place, we will complete all of the necessary setting up and then be on our way. We typically deliver our luxury toilets 1-2 days prior to your event and pick them up the day after your event. All of this will be pre-arranged and booked in during the enquiry and booking process.
As standard, The Washhouse will NOT include a toilet attendant and will not require servicing during an event for 100 guests up to 8-10 hours. It is fully stocked with eco-friendly toiletries with plenty of spares.
We do offer a attendant service in the optional extras section. If you would like a attendant at your event, please let us know when you enquire.
Yes. It requires access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps. This is to power up our rustic style lighting and heaters in order to provide the warm water for showers. A 16 amp electricity supply is standard for any outdoor socket but if you are unable to gain access a generator can also do the same job. If there is no electricity supply nearby and you are also struggling to get hold of a generator then please get in touch with us and we may be able to assist you.
Toilets and Showers
All of Nomadic Washrooms luxury toilets arrive on location smelling incredible and feature automatic air fresheners that keep them smelling amazing throughout your event.
Yes. The Washhouse requires a mains water supply in order for the showers to operate.
No. The shower units have a built-in water heating and pumping system, which means that regardless of how cold and weak the water going in might be, you will enjoy a nice warm shower.
The Washhouse has steps leading up each section so it may be difficult to access to people with mobility issues. However, we do have The Accessible Shepherd that is designed for ease of access. This toilet and shower unit is built using a vintage horse box, has gently sloping ramps and plenty of strong handrails.
Yes – When hiring The Wash House you will need to provide a drainage facility for the shower water. This can either be a standard drain, an area of land for the water to soak away. If you are unsure of what we mean by this or have any questions then please get in touch for our expert advice.
It is important to note that WASTE WATER CANNOT BE DRAINED INTO A RIVER OR CANAL. So if you have any questions about shower drainage at your event then please get in touch.
