Authentic Decor
The Accessible Shepherd is our easy-to-access hire unit. Built using a vintage horse box, the front ramp provides simple access to the self-contained bathroom – including a spacious toilet and sink with handrails as support. There is also a rear ramp which can be pulled down for a self-contained quirky corrugated iron shower bay. As with all of our units, The Accessible Shepherd is finished with our signature rustic, luxury styling, using timber on the interior and corrugated steel on the exterior.

Friendly to everyone
The Accessible Shepherd has the capacity to host up to 15 guests for 8 – 10 hours, or longer when used in conjunction with one of our other units. The capacity can also be increased by choosing the optional extra of a Pump Out, which will allow The Accessible Shepherd to serve more guests or for a longer time period.
Although its facilities are user-friendly, and the ramps provide better access to all areas, please note that it may not be suitable for all disabilities. Due to it being made from a vintage horse box it doesn’t fully comply with the current UK requirements for disabled access loos. But the Accessible Shepherd is the perfect solution for easier toilet and shower access at your event.

Design Of The Accessible Shepherd

The Accessible Shepherd is our most friendly luxury rustic style bathroom which can be used by those who struggle with steps. It’s the only member of our flock which is built from a vintage horse trailer, It has ramps that extend from the front – to provide access to the toilet and sink, and the back to access to the showers area.

– 1 Washbasin with Hot Water and Infrared Sensors

Standard Capacity
The Accessible Shepherd is suitable for events with up to 15 people for 8 10 hours. This capacity can be increased by opting for our ‘Pump Out’ service in the optional extras section. Alternatively, we have a range of other luxury toilet and shower shepherd hut trailers for hire with larger capacities. Please contact us!
The Accessible Shepherd Requirements

Essential
Level Site – For health and safety reasons, we need a flat site for The Accessible Shepherd.
6.0m x 2.5m Space – The Accessible Shepherd requires an area measuring 6.0m x 2.5m.
Parking Access – The Nomadic Washrooms team will deliver The Accessible Shepherd and complete the whole setup for your event. All we require is a clear route to access and space to park up.
Electricity Supply (16 AMP) – To power The Accessible Shepherd, you will need to provide access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps.
Water Supply –The Accessible Shepherd utilises a fresh water flush system a mains water connection is required.
Optional
Drain/Soakaway – In addition to a water supply, the showers also need a drain or soakaway.

The Accessible Shepherd arrives at your event fully stocked with eco-friendly toilet rolls, handtowels, hand wash, body wash and shampoo. We have a range of optional extras to make you event that extra bit special for your guests.
Eco Warrior Toiletry Baskets
Our luxury toiletry baskets are a great way of making sure your guests can freshen up during your wedding or event. We have all been there, a few hours on the dance floor and pow, your hair is a mess and you realise you’ve sweated far too much!
Included in the baskets are his and hers high-end hair, beauty and refreshment products (including those essential sanitary items) displayed in wicker baskets for your guest’s convenience.

Toilet Attendant
Our trailers are always supplied spotless and in tip-top condition, but after a few hours of wine and beer, even the cleanest and most respectful of guests can create a little mess!
If you opt for our toilet attendant service for a small fee a member of the Nomadic Washroom team will discreetly ensure that the loos remain spotless throughout the duration of your event. Although we always supply spare loo roll, with a toilet attendant, there is no worry of going short, leaving you to enjoy your event.

External Decor
All of our luxury toilet hires come complete with internal florals and foliage to hide the wheels, undercarriage and trailer drawbar as standard.
If you would like to add to the full shepherd’s hut experience we can supply a range of extras – most popular are additional external decorations, coir matting for guests to wipe their feet and candle lanterns (with battery candles). We can supply flowers to match your colour scheme upon request.

How much does it cost to hire The Accessible Shepherd?
The Accessible Shepherd is our friendliest luxury toilet that you can hire for your wedding or event. The price for this shepherd style toilet and shower unit start from £600 (inc. VAT). All the competitive quotes we provide at Nomadic Washrooms are bespoke to the enquirer and dependent on which or how many of our luxury toilets that you want to hire and your event’s location.
What surface is suitable for The Accessible Shepherd?
To host The Accessible Shepherd at your event, all you will need to provide is a level site measuring 6.0 x 2.5 metres. They can be parked-up on a range of surfaces including grass, tarmac, concrete and gravel. If you are unsure of whether your surface is suitable send us a message and we’ll let you know.
Will there be a toilet attendant on-site with The Accessible Shepherd?
As standard, The Accessible Shepherd will NOT include a toilet attendant and will not require servicing during an event for 15 guests up to 10 hours. It is fully stocked with toilet rolls, hand towels and eco-friendly toiletries with plenty of spares.
We do offer a toilet attendant service in the optional extras section. If you would like a toilet attendant at your event, please let us know when you enquire.
When and how will The Accessible Shepherd be delivered/collected?
It will be delivered to the location of your event by one of our friendly team at Nomadic Washrooms. They will deliver the unit to the site in a 4×4 vehicle wearing our smart branded uniform. As soon as it is in place, we will complete all of the necessary setup and then be on our way. We typically deliver our luxury toilets 1-2 days prior to your event and pick them up the day after your event. All of this will be pre-arranged and booked in during the enquiry and booking process.,
Toilets & Showers
Does The Accessible Shepherd require an electricity supply?
Yes. It requires access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps. This is to power up our rustic-style lighting and heaters in order to provide the warm water for sinks and showers. A 16-amp electricity supply is standard for any outdoor socket, but if you are unable to gain access, a generator can also do the same job. If there is no electricity supply nearby and you are also struggling to get hold of a generator, then please get in touch with us, and we may be able to assist you.
Will the toilets of The Accessible Shepherd start smelling after a while?
All of Nomadic Washrooms luxury toilets arrive on location smelling incredible and feature automatic air fresheners that keep them smelling amazing throughout your event.
Is The Accessible Shepherd accessible to everyone?
We built The Accessible Shepherd with that in mind as we want everyone to have the chance of experiencing our shepherd style luxury washrooms. With both the shower and toilet area being accessible by ramps and sturdy handrails throughout, this is our most accessible unit.
Does The Accessible Shepherd require a water supply?
Yes.
Toilets – The Accessible Shepherd can be used for either its toilets or its showers or both. As The Accessible Shepherd’s toilet facilities operates a fresh water flush system a water supply is required.
Showers – If you wish to use The Accessible Shepherd’s shower facilities at your event then a mains water supply is required
Does The Accessible Shepherd require access to drainage facilities?
Toilets (No) – All of units are all self-contained. Self-contained literally means that the contaminated waste is stored in a waste container. The capacities we outline with each of our huts are calculated from real usage figures and very accurate.
If you are concerned about the capacity of The Accessible Shepherd and whether it will be able to cater for the size of your event then please feel free to message us with any questions – you should also check out the optional extra of a ‘Pump Out’.
Showers (Yes) – The showers on The Accessible Shepherd require a suitable drainage facility or a soakaway. If you don’t think that you can provide either of these at the location of your event then a bladder tank can also be used.
It is important to note that WASTE WATER CANNOT BE DRAINED INTO A RIVER OR CANAL. So if you have any questions about shower drainage at your event then please get in touch.
Do The Accessible Shepherd’s showers need high water pressure?
The Accessible Shepherd is fitted with built-in water pump and heating. This means that even if cold water with low pressure goes in, the result is always a nice warm shower with good pressure.
