Authentic Decor

The Shepherdess is our most popular nomadic style luxury toilet for hire. It has an authentic shepherd’s hut design both on the interior and exterior and is a perfect addition to make every part of your event glamorous. The interior is built using real timber and includes a range of period finishings including mason jar lighting, rustic copper hot water taps, bucket sinks for the ladies, and a feed trough sink and separate urinal for the gentlemen. The curved corrugated exterior has a beautiful log store which can be opened to reveal a hidden service area. The Shepherdess, like all our luxury toilets, come completed with external foliage coverage around the fixtures and internal floral decoration.

The Shepherdess is great for hosting medium to large events with a capacity of between 150 – 175 attendees for 8 to 10 hours. There are separate bathrooms for ladies and gentlemen, which vary slightly in design. The ladies bathroom includes 2 cosy cubicles and 2 beautiful bucket washbasins, with the gentleman’s bathroom including 1 cubicle, 1 feed trough urinal and 1 feed trough sink. The Shepherdess is perfect for weddings, events, festivals, glamping weekends and corporate trips. The Shepherdess offers two unique nomadic bathrooms for Ladies and Gentlemen. Each bathroom is accessible by metal steps offering complete privacy while the facilities are in use. In addition, there is a hidden service area behind the log storage, filled with spare supplies of toilet rolls and soaps.

The Ladies’ Bathroom Includes:

– 2 Vintage Style W.C.

– 2 Bucket Sinks (inc. Hot Water and Infrared Sensors)

– Eco-Friendly Hand Wash and Soaps

The Gentlemen’s Bathroom Includes:

– 1 Vintage Style W.C.

Standard Capacity

The Shepherdess has a standard capacity to host 100 to 175 guests for 8 to 10 hours. There is the optional extra of a ‘Pump Out’ to increase the capacity, or we have a range of other Luxury Toilets for Hire for both bigger and smaller events.

       The Shepherdess Requirements

The Shepherdess is one of our mid-range shepherd style luxury toilets for hire and is the ideal choice for any event with between 150 – 175 guests. All we require for The Shepherdess is:

A Level Site – For health & safety and operational reasons we need a flat site for The Shepherdess.

6.0m x 2.0m Space The Shepherdess needs an area measuring 6.0m x 2.0m. 

Parking Access – Our amazing team will deliver The Shepherdess to the location of your event and complete the full set up. All you need to do is provide us with a clear route and space to park up.

​Electricity Supply (16 AMP) – The Shepherdess requires access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps.

Toiletry Baskets

If you want to keep the dance floor filled at your event, then provide your guests with the emergency care package of our toiletry baskets available to them in The Shepherdess.

The toiletry baskets provide the ladies and gentlemen with all the essentials in order to freshen up during your wedding or event. They include high-end beauty, hair and refreshment products (including discreet essential sanitary items) all beautifully displayed in our wicker baskets.

Our toilet attendants are trusted members of our team that will discreetly ensure that The Shepherdess is always looking her best. From restocking supplies to regular cleaning, the addition of a toilet attendant ticks a worry off the list of the organisers.

How much does it cost to hire The Shepherdess?

The Shepherdess is one of the mid-range members of our flock with the capability to host 150-175 guests for 8 to 10 hours. The price of hire for The Shepherdess starts at £575 with each competitive quote we provide is unique to the enquirer. Upon enquiring, our friendly team will discuss the details of your event and discuss with you the best pricing options.

What type of location is suitable for The Shepherdess?

The Shepherdess requires a level site to park up on for both health & safety reasons as well as operational purposes. At previous events, The Shepherdess has been parked on a range of different surfaces including tarmac, concrete, grass and more. You will also need to consider how we will get our units to the plot and provide a clear access route for us to park up. The Shepherdess needs a space of 6.0m x 2.5m, with some extra space around that just for parking up purposes.

Does hiring The Shepherdess include servicing or a toilet attendant?

At Nomadic Washrooms, as standard, none of our luxury toilets or showers for hire come with a toilet attendant, or needs servicing during an event. All of the Nomadic Washrooms fleet arrive at your event in pristine condition and fully stocked with toilet rolls, eco-friendly handwash and hand soaps (with spares stored in the discreet storeroom behind the log storage).

If you would like a toilet attendant at your event, then we do offer this service as an optional extra. The role of our toilet attendants is to discreetly maintain The Shepherdess throughout your event, completing ongoing cleaning and restocking the facilities if and when needed.

How is The Shepherdess delivered and collected from the event?

In the booking process, we will discuss with you the best date and time for us to deliver and collect The shepherdess from your event location. We typically deliver our luxury toilets 1 or 2 days before the event and collect it the day after. Our delivery and collection service is carried out by one of our trusted team members who will be easily recognisable in their smart Nomadic Washrooms uniform. The units are towed by a 4×4 and we will require a clear route to deliver and collect them from your location.

Does The Shepherdess require an electricity supply?

All of our fleet at Nomadic Washrooms require an electricity supply to power the lighting and water heating in our luxury toilets. A 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps is the correct level of power needed for all of our units. This power level is the standard for any high-power outdoor socket, but where a high-power socket is unavailable then a generator may be used. Do The Shepherdess’ toilets ever start smelling?

At Nomadic Washrooms, we pride ourselves in the fact that our toilets not only look amazing, but also smell amazing. Before we deliver The Shepherdess to your event we complete deep cleans with great smelling products and then stock her up with automatic air fresheners, so you never have to worry about our toilets smelling.

Are the toilers on The Shepherdess accessible to everyone?

Unfortunately, The Shepherdess is a raised trailer with both bathroom entrances having a few metal steps leading to the door. These steps are sturdy, however, they may be difficult for people with disability to access The Shepherdess. Does The Shepherdess require a water supply?

The Shepherdess is a toilet only unit so no water supply is required. All of the luxury toilets built-in to our washrooms are self-contained. On board The Shepherdess we have a fresh water storage to supply the water for flushing and another storage unit to collect the contaminated water.

Does The Shepherdess require access to drainage facilities?

The toilets on The Shepherdess are self-contained which means that they have their own fresh water supply and storage for contaminated water. This means that The Shepherdess does not require any drainage facilities in order to be used. The storage on this unit is big enough to host 150-175 guests for 8 to 10 hours. If you would like to increase this storage capacity then ask about a ‘Pump Out’ when you enquire.

Does The Shepherdess unit have showers as well as toilets?

The Shepherdess is one of our luxury toilet units as opposed to a luxury washroom unit. This means that is a toilet only facility and it does not include built-in showers. These washrooms are perfect to hire for glamping weekends, corporate events or any sports festivals.
