Authentic Decor
The Shepherdess is our most popular nomadic style luxury toilet for hire. It has an authentic shepherds hut design both on the interior and exterior and is a perfect addition to make every part of your event glamorous.
The interior is built using rustic timber and includes period finishings including mason jar lighting, copper hot water taps, bucket sinks (for the ladies) and a feed trough sink and separate urinal for the gentlemen. The curved corrugated exterior has a beautiful log store which reveals a hidden service area. The Shepherdess, like all our luxury toilets, come completed with external foliage coverage around the fixtures and internal floral decoration.

The Shepherdess is perfect for hosting medium to large events with a capacity of between 150 – 175 attendees for 8 to 10 hours. There are separate bathrooms for ladies and gentlemen, which vary slightly in design. The lady’s bathroom includes two cosy cubicles and two washbasins. The gentleman’s bathroom including one cubicle, one feed trough urinal and one feed trough sink. The Shepherdess is perfect for weddings, events, festivals, glamping weekends and corporate trips.
Do you need The Shepherdess for longer? We can increase the capacity by adding on a Pump Out service in the optional extras section. Alternatively, for larger events, take a look at the other members of the flock we have at Nomadic Washrooms.

The Shepherdess offers two unique nomadic bathrooms for Ladies and Gentlemen each accessible by steps offering complete privacy while the facilities are in use. There is a discreet service area hidden behind the log storage, filled with spare supplies of toilet rolls and soaps.

Standard Capacity
The Shepherdess has a standard capacity to host 100 to 175 guests for 8 to 10 hours. We can increase the capacity by adding a Pump Out service in the optional extras section. Alternatively, for larger events, take a look at the other members of the flock we have at Nomadic Washrooms.
The Shepherdess Wedding Toilet Hire Requirements
6.0 Metres x 2.0 Metres of Level Space
The Shepherdess is one of our mid-range shepherd style luxury toilets and is the ideal choice for any event with between 150 – 175 guests.
All we require for The Shepherdess is:
Level Site – For health and safety and operational reasons, we need a flat site for The Shepherdess.
6m x 2.0m Space – The Shepherdess needs an area measuring 4.5m x 2.0m.
Parking Access – The Nomadic Washrooms team will deliver and complete the whole setup for your event. All we require is a clear route to access and space to park up.
Electricity Supply (16 AMP) – To power The Shepherdess you will need to provide access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps.

The Shepherdess arrives at your event fully stocked with eco-friendly toilet rolls, hand towels, and hand wash. We have a range of optional extras to make your event that extra bit special for your guests.
Eco Warrior Toiletry Baskets
Our luxury toiletry baskets are a great way of making sure your guests can freshen up during your wedding or event. We have all been there, a few hours on the dance floor and pow, your hair is a mess and you realise you’ve sweated far too much!
Included in the baskets are his and hers high-end hair, beauty and refreshment products (including those essential sanitary items) displayed in wicker baskets for your guest’s convenience.

Toilet Attendant
Our trailers are always supplied spotless and in tip-top condition, but after a few hours of wine and beer even the cleanest and most respectful of guests can create a little mess!
If you opt for our toilet attendant service for a small fee a member of the Nomadic Washroom team will discreetly ensure that the loos remain spotless throughout the duration of your event. Although we always supply spare loo roll, with a toilet attendant there is no worry of going short, leaving you to enjoy your event.

All of our luxury toilets arrive at your event spotless and ready to go. However, after a few hours of partying, a mixture of excitement and alcohol can lead to individuals possibly losing their inhibitions!
Our toilet attendants are trusted members of our team that will discreetly ensure that The Shepherdess is always looking her best. From restocking supplies to regular cleaning, the addition of a toilet attendant ticks a worry off the list of the organisers.
External Decor
All of our luxury toilet hires come complete with internal florals and foliage to hide the wheels, undercarriage and trailer drawbar as standard.
If you would like to add to the full shepherd’s hut experience we can supply a range of extras – most popular are additional external decorations, coir matting for guests to wipe their feet and candle lanterns (with battery candles). We can supply flowers to match your colour scheme upon request.
Full Description
The Shepherdess comes as standard with internal floral decoration and external foliage which covers the undercarriage, wheels and drawbar.
However, if you want to impress your guests with the full package, then our external decoration includes external faux pas florals, coir matting for guests to wipe their feet and candle lanterns with electric candles. We also understand the importance of matching floral colour schemes, so please include this in your request.
Pump Outs
If you are planning a large event, or just love our loos that much you want them for additional days, then why not take advantage of our pump-out service?
Although our loos can usually hold all the waste from a single day of use, those of you that are planning a BBQ or charity event the following day, or are having a longer event, will need a pump out service to make sure the tanks don’t overflow. Trust us, no wants to clean that mess up!

If your heart is set on The Shepherdess for your event but you are expecting over 175 guests, or your event is lasting more than one day, then why not consider opting for a pump-out.
Our capacity is calculated using real experience with events and can typically hold all the waste from a single days use comfortably. However, if you are planning an extra event for the following day, then we suggest a pump out to ensure the tanks don’t overflow. Trust us, you don’t want that!

How much does it cost to hire The Shepherdess?
The Shepherdess is one of the mid-range members of our flock with the capability to host 150-175 guests for 8 to 10 hours. The price of hire for The Shepherdess starts at £870 (Inc. VAT) with each competitive quote we provide is unique to the enquirer. Upon inquiring, our friendly team will discuss the details of your event and discuss with you the best pricing options.
What surface is suitable for The Shepherdess?
To host The Shepherdess at your event, all you will need to provide is a level site measuring 6 metres x 2.5 metres. They can be parked-up on a range of surfaces including grass, tarmac, concrete and gravel. As with all our units we will need clear access to the plot and enough space to park. If you are unsure of whether your surface is suitable send us a message and we’ll let you know.
Will there be a toilet attendant on-site with The Shepherdess?
As standard, The Shepherdess will NOT include a toilet attendant and will not require servicing during an event. It is fully stocked with toilet rolls, hand towels and eco-friendly toiletries with plenty of spares.
We do offer a toilet attendant service in the optional extras section. If you would like a toilet attendant at your event, please let us know when you enquire.
When and how will The Shepherdess be delivered/collected?
It will be delivered to the location of your event by one of our friendly team at Nomadic Washrooms. They will deliver the unit to the site in a 4×4 vehicle wearing our smart branded uniform. As soon as it is in place, we will complete all of the necessary setting up and then be on our way. We typically deliver our luxury toilets 1-2 days prior to your event and pick them up the day after your event. All of this will be pre-arranged and booked in during the enquiry and booking process.
Toilets
Does The Shepherdess require an electricity supply?
Yes. It requires access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps. This is to power up our rustic style lighting and heaters in order to provide the warm water for sinks and showers. A 16 amp electricity supply is standard for any outdoor socket but if you are unable to gain access a generator can also do the same job. If there is no electricity supply nearby and you are also struggling to get hold of a generator then please get in touch with us and we may be able to assist you.
Will the toilets of The Shepherdess start smelling after a while?
All of Nomadic Washrooms luxury toilets arrive on location smelling incredible and feature automatic air fresheners that keep them smelling amazing throughout your event.
Is The Shepherdess accessible to everyone?
The Shepherdess has steps leading up to both bathrooms so it may be difficult to access to people with mobility issues. However, we do have The Accessible Shepherd that is designed for ease of access. This toilet and shower unit is built using a vintage horse box, has gently sloping ramps and plenty of strong handrails.
Does The Shepherdess require a water supply?
No – If you are just hiring The Shepherdess for use of the toilets then you will not need a water supply. All of our luxury toilet units come fully self-contained – this basically means that they have their own tank of fresh water and don’t require a connection to a water supply.
Does The Shepherdess require access to drainage facilities?
No – Our shepherd huts are all self-contained. This means that they have their own fresh water supply and also store all the contaminated waste until they are emptied. If you are worried about the capacity of any of our units then please feel free to ask us any questions and also consider the optional extra of a Pump Out.
Does The Shepherdess have showers?
No. The Shepherdess is one of our luxury toilet units as opposed to a luxury washroom unit. This means that is a toilet only facility and it does not include built-in showers. If you are interested in a luxury washroom unit that includes showers, then please see The Little Shepherd, The Wash House, The Showering Shepherd or The Accessible Shepherd. These washrooms are perfect to hire for glamping weekends, corporate events or any sports festivals.
