The Wash House can cater for up to 80 guests and is perfect for larger events when paired with one of our Master Shepherd toilet trailers.
The Wash House ReQUIREMENTS
All we require for The Wash House is:
A Level Site – For health & safety and operational reasons we need a flat site for The Wash House.
7m x 3.5m Space – The Wash House needs an area measuring 7m x 3.5m.
Parking Access – A friendly member of our team will deliver The Wash House to your event and complete the full set-up ready for your guests. To do this, we will need a clear access route and sufficient space to reverse the trailer in and unhitch the truck
which measures 5.5m.
Electricity Supply (1 x 16 AMP) – To power The Wash House you will need to provide access to 1 x 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps.
Water Supply (required) – you will need to provide a mains water supply to top up the header tank.
Drain/Soakaway (required) – Along with a water supply we will also need access to a drain or soakaway for the showers.

The Wash House comes ready to go fully stocked eco-friendly hand wash, hand soaps and shower gels. However, if you want to make your event extra special, we have a range of optional extras that you can add-on.
Toiletry Baskets
Our luxury toilet hire toiletry baskets are a great way of making sure your guests can freshen up during your wedding or event. We have all been there, a few hours on the dance floor and pow, your hair is a mess and you realise you’ve sweated far too much!
If you opt for our toiletry baskets we will supply his and hers high-end hair, beauty and refreshment products (including those essential sanitary items) displayed in wicker baskets for your guests convenience.

Although our Posh portable loos are always supplied spotless and in tip-top condition, after a few hours of wine and beer even the cleanest and most respectful of guests can lose their inhibitions!
If you opt for our toilet attendant service we will discreetly ensure that the loos remain spotless throughout the duration of your event. Although we always supply spare loo roll, with a toilet attendant there is no worry of going short leaving you and the other organisers to enjoy your event.

All of our luxury toilet hires come complete with internal florals and foliage to hide the wheels, undercarriage and trailer drawbar as standard.
However, if you want to give your guests the full shepherd’s hut toilet experience, then we can also supply external decorations including coir matting for people to wipe their feet, candle lanterns with electric candles and external faux pas florals. We can also supply flowers to match your colour scheme upon request.

What surface is suitable for The Wash House?
To host The Showering Shepherd at your event, all you will need to provide is a level site measuring 7 metres x 3.5 metres. They can be parked up on a range of surfaces including grass, tarmac, concrete and gravel. As with all our units we will need clear access to the plot and enough space to park. If you are unsure of whether your surface is suitable send us a message and we’ll let you know.
When and how will The Wash House be delivered/collected?
It will be delivered to the location of your event by one of our friendly team at Nomadic Washrooms. They will deliver the unit to the site in a 4×4 vehicle wearing our smart branded uniform. As soon as it is in place, we will complete all of the necessary setting up and then be on our way. We typically deliver our luxury toilets 1-2 days prior to your event and pick them up the day after your event. All of this will be pre-arranged and booked in during the enquiry and booking process.
Will there be a attendant on-site with The Wash House?
As standard, The Wash House will NOT include a toilet attendant and will not require servicing during an event for 100 guests up to 8-10 hours. It is fully stocked with eco-friendly toiletries with plenty of spares.
We do offer a attendant service in the optional extras section. If you would like a attendant at your event, please let us know when you enquire.
Does The Wash House require an electricity supply?
Yes. It requires access to a 16 amp electricity supply with a current draw of 10 amps. This is to power up our rustic style lighting and heaters in order to provide the warm water for showers. A 16 amp electricity supply is standard for any outdoor socket but if you are unable to gain access a generator can also do the same job. If there is no electricity supply nearby and you are also struggling to get hold of a generator then please get in touch with us and we may be able to assist you.
Toilets & Showers
Will the toilets of The Wash House start smelling after a while?
All of Nomadic Washrooms luxury toilets arrive on location smelling incredible and feature automatic air fresheners that keep them smelling amazing throughout your event.
Does The Wash House require a water supply?
Yes. The Wash House requires a mains water supply in order for the showers to operate.
Does The Wash House require a high water pressure?
No. The shower units have a built-in water heating and pumping system, which means that regardless of how cold and weak the water going in might be, you will enjoy a nice warm shower.
Is The Wash House accessible to everyone?
The Wash House has steps leading up each section so it may be difficult to access to people with mobility issues. However, we do have The Accessible Shepherd that is designed for ease of access. This toilet and shower unit is built using a vintage horse box, has gently sloping ramps and plenty of strong handrails.
Does The Wash House require access to drainage facilities?
Yes – When hiring The Wash House you will need to provide a drainage facility for the shower water. This can either be a standard drain, an area of land for the water to soak away. If you are unsure of what we mean by this or have any questions then please get in touch for our expert advice.
It is important to note that WASTE WATER CANNOT BE DRAINED INTO A RIVER OR CANAL. So if you have any questions about shower drainage at your event then please get in touch.
